1. Nothing erases the Holiday doldrums better than cheering someone up with a Holiday Gift Basket. This collection of baked goods, fruit, nuts, a plant nestled in red and green decorative 'grass' and possibly some Gifts of Health tucked in is easy and affordable.

3. Onion Cheese Bread Recipe

I've really loved this recipe with a good soup, or with salad, or a casserole. I made my own biscuit mix in the past. There are many recipes for it on the internet.

**Cook 1/2 c. chopped Onion in 1T. shortening or olive oil till clear
Blend 1 1/2 c. Biscuit Mix, 1/2 c. milk, 1 beaten egg, cooked onion, & 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese.
Spread in a greased pie plate. Top with 1/2 c. grated cheese, 1T. poppy or sesame seed, and 2Tbsp. melted butter over all.
Bake at 375 for 20-25 min.

A Basic Parasite Cleanse for Pets..

Pets are part of your family and should be kept healthy and parasite-free. Dr. Clark felt it was important to keep them on the Maintenance Program continuously.
Ingredients:
1. Parsley Water: This has to be made by you. Cook a bunch of fresh parsley (approx. 1-2 inches thick at the stems) in a quart of water for 3 minutes. Make sure the parsley is completely submerged under the water. Drain and throw away the parsley. After cooling, you may freeze most of it in small cup containers or plastic freezer bags.
Put 1 teaspoon of parsley water on the pet's food. The parsley water is important for their kidneys. Continue with this dosage of parsley water for one week before beginning with the black walnut.
All the dosages are based on a 10 lb. dog or cat. Double them for a 20 lb. animal, and so forth.

2. Black Walnut Tincture. Put 1 drop of Black Walnut Tincture on the pet's food.
For cats, do this ONLY twice a week. For dogs, do this daily. For a 30 lb. dog, put 3 drops, but work up to it, increasing 1 drop per day.

3. Wormwood Capsules. Begin with the wormwood capsules 1 week afgter starting the Black Walnut. Open a capsule and put just a pinch of their food. Do this for a week before adding the clove capsules.

4. Clove Capsules. Open a capsule and put just a pinch on their food.

An example: A 20 lb. cat would be taking:
2 teaspoons of parsley water
2 drops of Black walnut tincture (twice a week for cats.)
1 pinch of Wormwood
1 pinch of Cloves. (After a week of Wormwood, you start this.)

An example: A 60 lb. dog would be taking:
6 teaspoons of parsley water
6 drops of Black Walnut tincture daily
1 pinch of Wormwood
1 pinch of Cloves

Doctors Telling Citizens What they Have to Do/Medical Paternalism for Profit

This morning I read where a bill is being presented to increase the pap and mammogram screening coverage for women in the proposed Health Insurance bill. The brazen woman who is proposing the bill says that if the doctor advises either, then the woman must have it done. Since when do adults allow ignorant government figures to treat us like children, so the doctors and pharmaceuticals can ensure their profits? This is like the vaccine program, which was laced with the term Mandatory, as if parents can't decide for their children or themselves, and the Government, (with corporate ties) takes over the place of Parent. Paternalism for Profit. What kind of stupidity and corruption has this government come to? How long will the suffering go on, before an absolute revolution takes place?

This reminds me of the 'Drug War', where the CIA plants crack cocaine in ghetto neighborhoods, and suddenly we have a huge BUSINESS of CORRECTIONS. The DEA has so many corrupt ties, and profits are like Christmas for a few, that the tax-paying citizen is destined to be the low man on the totem pole. No drug treatment or legitimate drug treatment offered, but the citizens are NAIVE enough to support $25,000 per year and up, per our sons and daughters behind bars. With no legitimate help offered the small percentage of sexual abuse victims with convicted perpetrators, our resulting drug and alcohol addicts can fuel the prison economy. Who is making money? What is the expense?

This reminds me of AIDS, where the HIV virus is created, (now bear with me and do your own research and thought) implanted in Africa and New York in the vaccines, and then the Pharmaceuticals become giant powers, dripping with grants for research, etc., and eventually can compromise economic systems by infiltrating rescue of African children, etc. Managing CANCER, AIDS, DIABETES, etc. after creating it with toxins and drugs and adulterated nutrient-deprived crops is quite the business.

Where are the ADULTS in this country, with logical, rational abilities for thought? Where are the scientists with a curiosity in patterns and theories?
First we are shocked (giving live syphilis to inmates for lab rats), enraged, but not outraged, and eventually with the wave of corruption, we have become apathetic and easy targets for a variety of experiments and money-making projects, from Aspartame to Birth Control Hormones, Coumadin to Blood Pressure Meds to Psych Drugs, while we march with pink ribbons.

What if Alzheimers, cervical cancer, etc. were nothing but a money-making agenda with voiceless victims? Worse yet, thankful victims for the failed synthetic 'wonder drugs' to keep us out of the rest home for a few months, but result in early death. Kind of reminds me of the movie, Soylent Green. What if Macrobid, the drug given to women to 'avoid' urinary tract infections was creating the cervical cancer, tipping the DNA to become erratic, creating squamous and/or adenocarcinoma or the chemicals laced in cigarettes which are found in the cervical tissues were merely symbiotic hands with Tobacco/Big Pharma companies and the silent Medical field, and all along the HPV vaccines which can kill or harm more women, Pap smears, cervical procedures, etc. were merely the bread and butter for 'helpful' medical personnel and their Pharmaceutical and Lab and Diagnostic -doctor-invested Machines? Do we have a right to know the 'goals' of a hospital? Like, how many heart transplants they are shooting for in the year? Do we have a right to know, or would it be good sense to know, who has financial interests in the Diagnostic Machines?

This Holiday season, my wish is not small. I am wanting balance to return to this planet. I want to see media policy enforced, with ALL men, women and children of BOTH sides listed as killed or maimed. I want pictures of the reality of war shared, so we can be emotionally intelligent, and begin to shape world policy. I want mothers of integrity to take over in Government positions. Communication is a pivotal point of power. I want the owners and interests of ALL media shared with the public. I want Education to become the unpolluted basis to galvanize the young to help the old mend what is broken. No law school to reinforce the incestual Bar Membership of judge and lawyer, but to dig our country out of the fraudulent label of Justice. I know this is a lot, but we are many, and our spirit invincible despite the numbing and dumbing. I want the 'lights' to go on for the rest of the year.

Note: I will be posting photos of the aging/dying process of a young woman who was tricked into taking Psych Meds, and manipulated by fear in that 'getting off the drug would make her go crazy', which is a Party Line of many 'medical personnel' and 'counselors'. Natural Solutions for Health vs. Flu Shots and Meds

Hi Pamela,

Many of you have been saying to me:

"All I hear about in the news is shots and drugs. Is there a holistic approach for strengthening my immune system?"

My answer is yes! Here are my suggestions:

1) Start by eating a balanced diet composed of whole, unprocessed foods without a lot of fat and simple sugars. A great place to start designing a balanced diet that is perfect for your age, gender and activity level is www.mypyramid.gov.

2) Get plenty of sleep. The experts recommend 8 hours of sleep a night, but a majority of Americans get far less than that.

3) Exercise on a regular basis. Both too little and too much exercise can weaken the immune system (You might have guessed that the problem for most of us is the "too little", not the "too much"). The experts recommend at least 30 minutes every day.

4) Maintain ideal body weight. Those excess pounds really zap our immune system.

5) Minimize your reliance on medications. Many common medications weaken the immune system (Just listen to the disclaimers in the TV commercials for examples).

But you must work with your physician on this. Once your physician knows that you are willing to do take personal responsibility for your diet and lifestyle, they will generally be willing to minimize the number of medications that they prescribe.

6) Focus on the positive. Studies show that optimists are healthier and life longer than pessimists. And the good news is that anyone can cultivate an attitude of optimism. For most of us it is a lifestyle choice - not something that we were born with.

7) Add a supplement program to assure that your immune system is functioning optimally. In the ideal world supplements wouldn't be necessary, but there are very few "saints" who do a great job in all 6 of the areas that I mentioned.

A well designed supplement program fills in the "gaps". We want to make sure that we are getting adequate:

- B vitamins and protein because our immune cells need to divide very rapidly when we have immune challenges.

- Antioxidants because our immune cells create lots of free radicals.

- Trace minerals, especially iron and zinc, because they are required by important enzymes of the immune system.

- Vitamin D because it is vitally important for a strong immune system and most of us are not getting enough.

- Probiotics (healthy bacteria) because "bad" bacteria and yeast in our intestines can weaken the immune system.

- Omega-3 fatty acids to modulate the immune system once it has taken care of the invading bacteria or viruses.

We don't need megadoses. We just need enough.

One final thought: A holistic approach to strengthening our immune system is not an "either - or" proposition.

The flu short is 66% effective in preventing the flu for people with a strong immune system and only 33% effective in preventing the flu for people with a weak immune system.

Bone Spurs. Natural Solutions

My mother-in-law has (had) bone spurs on her spine along with

Immune Boosting and Winter Wellness

First, a personal note and items of business: This is the color scheme I have played with this summer, and will finish in the spring, when the paint won't bubble with the Autumn moisture here in the 'Pocket in the Woods'. This photo reminds me of my Blueberry box still waiting to be constructed, the Birdhouses that I'm going to seal so they'll last longer, and other Autumn tasks that wonder where I have been.

Last night I went to dinner for my 55th birthday, had halibut at Stanford's, and saw Julie/Julia which I loved. Don't be surprised if I share more of the recipes I try, and maybe sneak in a few poems or other projects amid the health and nutrition pieces.

I recently listened to Dr. Sandra Bevacqua, who is a Molecular and Cellular Microbiologist, a tumor researcher, and has a business helping people overcome cancer. She told of a woman who came to her with breast cancer, that had metasticized into her brain, lung and pelvis who was given 3 months to live. Dr. Bevacqua started this woman on nutrients from Shaklee, and 6 months later, her cancer had not grown, and she was still on the planet. It was not until she began using Citriboost which has the pre and probiotic in it (must refrigerate after opening) and the Optiflora pearl which is the probiotic (no refrigeration needed, as it's triple encapsulated) that the cancer began to disappear.

It seems the immune system prioritizes the digestive area, and needs the flora to become rebalanced so it can focus on other areas of the body. Every tumor receded and left except for one small spot in the pelvis. This story does not end well. I listened to an RN who has a business of testing blood and urine for heavy metals concur with this. She said one source of poisoning was: many mattresses need to be covered or encapsulated to prevent gases and flame retardent chemicals that produce heavy metal poisoning from being absorbed into the skin and lungs, etc. Pre and post-testing have absolutely proven these problems and the solutions. What Do Sinus Infections, Itchy Ears, Vertigo, Urinary Tract and Yeast Infections and Prostatitis Have in Common?

Sinus infections, itchy ears, dry scalp and skin rashes, vertigo, urinary tract and yeast infections, prostatitis, thrush and skin fungal infections all signal an overgrowth of Candida. What does Vitamin B-12 Deficiency Look Like?

On Dr. Joseph Mercola's site today, he discussed B-12 Deficiency. You can go to the address below for the whole article. I pasted an excerpt below, also, and will comment on H Pylori, which by the time a person is 80, 40% are infected by this parasitic bacterium we contract mainly from cats, but also from dogs. H Pylori is only one of the reasons people become Vitamin B-12 deficient.

I promote a balanced approach to B vitamins, and using a natural complex vs. high doses of B's that can imbalance the rest. The H Pylori lives in the esophagus and stomach, and can be tested for with swallowing a held string, and culturing it. Medical docs usually give a couple of antibiotics for H-Pylori. Some are resistent to them. There is an acid in olive oil that can help to kill or decrease their numbers, so use liberally in salads and cooking, but I would turn to MMS which creates no resistance, and goes after blood-borne pathogens. (I will add a link later).

I like Shaklee's B Complex, which is made from a plant source, not animal, and is balanced, natural, and tested for contaminants. Their Vita Lea is my choice also of a multivitamin, and is coated in folic acid, so it unravels in the stomach where it's needed for absorption, not bound up in some synthetic bedpan bullet. It also has biotin in it which keeps Candida from growing to the fungal form. Candida is a normal resident in our intestines, but if it becomes imbalanced by antibiotics, birth control pills, hormones, medications, and an acidic environment, it can become a health hazard leading to urinary tract infections, yeast infections, prostate problems, allergies and cancer.

After treating H Pylori, I would recommend the following protocol:
Any antibiotic means killing good bacteria. To repopulate the 'gut' with bididus, lactobacillus, etc., use a good probiotic. I recommend Optiflora, a triple encased 'pearl' that actually gets past the hydrochloric acid of the stomach, to repopulate the colon with good bacteria.

If you don't go the medical route with antibiotics, in my researched opinion, I would do the 18 day Hulda Clark parasite cleanse, then MMS, then the gentle Colon Cleanse (request by email: pamcohenmsw@gmail.com), and then make sure you are on your own health program: good diet, exercise with 20-30 min. of sun, and natural food supplements. There are good, better and best in this department, dependent on your budget. We do not get all the nutrients we need from our diets, and when we are deficient, our bodies need more to catch up.

Ripples on the Lake. September 11th and more...

A few days ago I heard from some fellow lake walkers, that the Vernonia Lake Park Host, Bill Yeo saw a cougar down by the sewer ponds, on the trail going to Anderson park. Another walker friend had seen one between Rose and First Streets when he moved in several years ago. We are a pocket in the woods, here in Vernonia. Coyotes roam at night, rabbits hide in the briars, eagles and ospreys hunt on the lake. Deer frequent my back yard at times, and tonight on the way home from a trip to 'the valley' (Banks, Forest Grove, Cornelius, Hillsboro and Beaverton) I spotted two deer at the Museum on Bridge Street. They were pretty things. One was in the front yard, and another in the back. Where there are deer, there are usually predators.

This news made me a little leery about walking by myself. I have a new walking partner, and I'd much rather wait for company when going around the lake.

In other news, the gas prices are up around $3 a gallon, and the food prices are squeezing families all over this nation. There is a sense of dread and anxiety, especially as credit card debt grows, jobs are lost, pensions are cut or lost, and foreclosures grow. The haves and have nots are farther apart it seems. There are more predators than cougars in these parts. The petro dollar, greed of a few, and those hungry for world domination are ruining our country. Many Americans have been apathetic for a long time. Freedoms have to be treasured and valued, not taken for granted.

I watched a senior citizen on YouTube speak of the proposed healthcare plan. He said instead of knee and hip replacements, cancer and heart treatments, the elderly will instead be given 'death counseling'. He said "Shame on you", and reminded those that we have trusted to serve in government that he started working for 25 cents an hour, and was proud of what he did, and he started putting money into Social Security, which system has been looted, along with Medicare. He reminded the young and those in power that they are there, because of the elderly. They stand on the backs and shoulders of what he and others have worked for.

Here is the result of other research I have done lately. It is worth discussing:
There is free energy out there, that has been kept from mankind. We are about 100 years behind where we should be, according to Dr. Steven Greer, who is speaking all over the world, sharing his Disclosure Project, that we have had contact from other planets and our government has known for years. There is an era of peace and evolution coming, that cannot be stopped. Not by secretive shadow governments, the Bilderbergs that have unlawfully and illegally met with our world leaders, including the Clintons and Obama, all buddies, all thinking they are protected, elite and apart from mankind. The plots and plans of martial law, fake induced bio-wars and pandemics with looming forced vaccines, Blackhawk or Blackwater? and Northcom secret armies which we have financed unknowingly by the billions are all on record. WHO and UN plots to reduce the population to 500 million, mind control, television brainwashing, chemtrails dumping barium and other chemicals to thin a population that believe in a Race against Breast Cancer, and wearing pink ribbons, lab-created swine/avian flu strains, along with the HIV virus they already put into Hepatitis vaccines which were given to men in New York and Africa. September 11th was an inside job, and the proof of chemicals used to set the charges to bring the buildings down is documented, including building WTC#7 not hit by any plane, and announced by the BBC news about 20 min. before it actually happened. Criminals are bumblers, too. It's all there on the alternative news and internet and YouTube accounts. The problem has been many do not want to be bothered, or want to know. "Someone" will do something about it.

With a planned economic collapse, and an orchestrated need for martial law, a New World Order will be pushed on the peoples of the earth. Our government has been hijacked by the Federal Reserve and it's banker/Bilderberg cohorts, getting rid of any in their way, like John F. Kennedy. Once martial law is in force, no one will be allowed to leave the country except perhaps the privileged. On YouTube you can see actual footage that there are FEMA internment camps all over America, stacks of plastic multi-corpse coffins, cement rooms with gas lines to them, and the National Guard is being given job offers for internment camp work. You can see the actual job notices filmed on YouTube. Even weather can be orchestrated and used as a disaster weapon. I watched a Congressman read a bill for martial law under a list of circumstances, and most of it was "classified", with blurbs like "flesh-eating virus", etc.

What has happened to Americans, who like the frog in the pot of water, have reached a deadly degree of apathy and laziness? We have allowed our families and selves to be drugged by the Pharmaceutical pimps, who have created a symbiotic parasitical bond with our 'trusted' medical personnel. Trust is earned, not given. Rational trust has no place in what has transpired. Our food has been so processed and adulterated, irradiated, imported with DDT that was banned here, but sold for profit in other countries growing our fruits and vegetables, and even small-brained chickens refuse to eat the GMO grains offered them, but we have fed our children Aspartame in soft drinks and 99% of gum, and a huge list of foods, high fructose corn syrup, and other 'convenient' chemical cocktails to cause obesity, diabetes, and cancer.

I was at the dentist a while back, and the hygienist told me that there was flouride in the white fillings. She said she was for flouridating the water, so the level could be controlled. Some areas have too much flouride she said, and the children get flouridosis or flourosis that shows on their teeth. Who asked me if I wanted an industrial waste, a poison permanently placed in my mouth, to bleed into my body on a continual basis, for my immune system to fight? How is that 'controlled' exposure? The mercury in amalgams is bad enough. What is causing all the osteoporosis in this country? It seems to me, we run our own story of The Emperor's New Clothes. Even chicken farmers take the chlorine out of the water for their 'investment', so the poor birds live long enough without arteriosclerosis and other disease, to produce enough eggs for a profit.

Why are so many systems of our country dysfunctional? Where are our true leaders? I voted for Ron Paul, not some poor embarrassing thug like George Bush, or a young 'unknown' groomed Obama, whom I heard recently encouraging Americans to accept the 'findings' of 9-11. What is sad, is having a ballot without a third choice: NONE OF THE ABOVE. TRY AGAIN.

On this September 11th, I'm posting this to say we are in dire straits. Break the televisions, or use them only for selected DVD's and videos. Cancel the service. You are getting controlled news anyway, and do you really want your children to act like the characters creating our supposed social 'norms', or think taking the plethora of drugs pushed, is an American way of life? Perhaps the best way to figure out if purchasing an air or water filter is right for you, is to read reviews. I've read and heard great reviews for Shaklee's AirSource3000, and have borrowed one a few times, until I just purchased my own. The friend who owns one has had hers for approx. 9 years. The proof is in results, and how people feel, especially those with allergies and asthma, and how the air smells.

I put the AirSource 3000 in a friend's car overnight as he had smoked in it, and his dog had been in it. It smelled like a new car the next day. A room I rented out, smelled like a locker room. AirSource cleaned it right up. The fruit room downstairs can smell moldy, and the UV plate on AirSource kills the mold. I like the 3000 sq. ft. capacity of the AirSource, and that I can use it to spot clean small areas.

Cleaning carpet, inside car surfaces, etc. with Basic H and Basic G (cleaner/deodorizer/disinfectant) applied separately, would be advisable, if necessary. For instance, a pet box that needs changing, or dirty carpet or brown film from nicotine, or dusting and vaccuming all need to be addressed to maintain fresh air, as they generate smells, but the odor, mold and dust-killing capacity of the AirSource is remarkable.

Tough on Germs
Bacteria, fungi, and viruses can wreak havoc on your family's health and safety. Used as directed, Basic-G tackles over 40 of these pesky microbes, including several animal viruses. That makes it an excellent choice for use in the kitchen, bathroom, or pet area. In addition to being economical - one quart makes up to 64 gallons - it's also EPA registered.
(Clorox has approx. 6% sodium hypochlorite, and purportedly, contains lye, which for grooming pets can make them very ill. Basic G is a better alternative.)

There is a small amount of ozone generated from this model, but it is EPA approved. I want to research more about ozone, as I've read about it being used to oxygenate blood to fight cancer, and I've seen a cleanse using olive oil call for ozonating it first. They used fish tank equipment to do it.

There are only a small amount left in inventory. After October 1st, Shaklee will no longer offer AirSource 3000, but will still service the unit for 3 years. I'll buy several extra UV plate modules for the annual replacement, and the protective carrying case, as I will probably loan it out to help others. After another flood last year in Vernonia, where I live, the black mold from sweating winter windows in temporary trailers, along with dust and spores floating everywhere as people cleaned out soggy fiberglass insulation, lumber and furniture, etc. made many people very sick. Antibiotics don't do much for fungus in the lungs. Everyone here could have used an AirSource3000 for their homes, and especially with the stuff that got tracked into the relief centers.

Since the charcoal-carbon filtered pitchers and faucet filters make acidic water, I want to share with you my Point-of-Use Water Filter. The casing is made with Surgical Stainless Steel, and it uses a large filter of coconut shell medium. I follow Robert Cohen’s comments and researched articles on his Notmilk Yahoo forum. I am infuriated at the many men who have become prostate cancer victims, given money-making cancer-to-lymph-node spreading biopsies, radium seeds, radiation, etc. in a growing business. The AMA/Pharma symbiotic parasites have not only managed to gain government support for their profit schemes, they squash all other natural help and voices simultaneously through Codex and the corrupt FDA. Eventually their kingdom will topple. Meanwhile, too many men drinking hormone-laden dairy, set up for Candida by drugs and diet, and predisposed for prostate problems by age and culture, stay unaware of products with antioxidants to bring down PSA in 6 weeks, protect against DNA cellular damage, others that build the body’s immune system, and PREVENT and HEAL.

Interesting how this Pharma posting is in sync with my own thoughts this morning. How has this monster called the AMA, and Pharmaceutical companies been allowed to erode our personal freedoms, and good sense, until they euthanize people with their wares, and even work with our lawmakers to mandate some worthless, population-thinning vaccine? How have Americans gotten so apathetic, that they allow their family members to get on a Whitman's sampler of drugs, like Coumadin, a rat poison, to 'thin' their blood, to 'avoid' clots? How has the ADA gotten away with putting flouride in the white fillings, and mercury in the amalgams for so long? There isn't anything else offered at my dentist. And ....shopping at the grocery store with irradiated, GMO, processed, adulterated, DDT-imported food is truly an experience of the frog being boiled in the pot, one degree at a time. The pink ribbons to support the 'War' on breast cancer is a naive symbol of a complacent society. I personally am very angry at the money made on a duped and poisoned public. We have had to settle for what is least harmful to purchase, while our air and water quality produce chemical combos for genetic warp. Ever gone down the cleaning aisle at the grocery store? The off-gassing combos are 'unknowns'.

I already knew that sexual abuse had gone unchecked, and our prison populations had become quite the business, the legacy for our children marred beyond words, and debt has gone wild with the political wars set up by inside jobs like 9-11 and other greed.

Many people think of fleeing our nation, as it is corrupt in all facets, from religion to government to our apathetic, overweight anti-depressant, non-exercising, television-surfing waste of time Pepsi/Coke sappy 'war'-advertising osteoporosis-producing Ativan-popping, what's-wrong-with-being-unavailable to our families and neighbors w/ alcohol and pot-smoking public.

Our whole nation has become a 'placebo' of 'not doing anything'. Or so it seems. Or is it the ant and grasshopper scenario? Thank Goodness for the few ants like www.projectcamelot.org and Mr. Cohen's relentless information war with one corrupt industry. Where is the voice of the people, or is it too late for Lemmingsville?

Summer Salad

One of the recipes on 101Cookbooks.com looked good, and I had the cukes and cherry tomatoes, basil in the garden, etc.

I didn't have couscous, so I used quinoa. I cooked 1 c. quinoa and 2 c. filtered water for 20 min. on low heat, covered, (like cooking rice) and let it cool.
Add: fresh cukes. I had some small crisp babies fresh from the vine...I striped the peel a bit, cut off the ends and cut them into pieces. (Thank goodness for friends who share their garden produce. My daughter is hoping for some 'extra' green and yellow wax beans today, from my garden today when we meet for a Sunday walk together.)
Cherry tomatoes and yellow pear tomatoes cut in half and added.
Either a red or Walla Walla onion, or green onions added to the mix.
I sliced a half can of black olives.
1 can drained garbanzo (chickpeas) beans, or some frozen (defrosted) you've cooked up ahead of time to have on hand for quick hummus recipes.
Basil or cilantro

I used almond butter instead of tahini, as that's what I had on the shelf.
I used lemon juice and a bit of lime zest....
OR: you can use the olive oil and lemon/lime juice of the link's recipe, above...

Tahini Dressing:
1 garlic clove, smashed and chopped
1/4 cup tahini
Zest of one lemon
scant 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons hot water
scant 1/2 teaspoon fine grain sea salt

Next recipe I'll share is one for zucchini soup. It's from a chef I know of, who has been cooking for a long time. It's a blended soup, with a hint of bacon or ham. Makes me want to make some cornbread or bread sticks, or a homemade loaf of french bread with poppy seeds on top....

My Scappoose home is for sale. You can find it on Portland's Craig's List under Scappoose Country real estate for sale. I've downsized to Vernonia, and am even thinking of selling this one and traveling until I find a place with enough sun and a college I could take some classes in, and perhaps teach some. The winter commute to civilization over wet or icy winding roads does not appeal to me. I've thought of getting a room mate for this house, and keeping it, as the spring and summer through fall here is wonderful. We'll see what shakes. I have a lot of work to do. I want to start another blog about my coming books. One is called When Love is Not Enough, and chronicles the struggles and destruction of a family, hopes and dreams with the price of sexual abuse. I want to also write about America's treatment of their elderly, the health"care" system, etc. My poetry and recipes will be sprinkled in some of them. I have a daughter who says I'm like a mirror, challenging others to be as open, which is hard for some. My belief is that we are our brother's keeper, and hiding from our problems only complicates life. If we strive to live honestly, and share what we have and know with others, we perhaps will leave the planet better than we found it.

Migraines

Optiflora & Migraine Testimony

I have had migraines since the age of 12 that were associated with my
menstrual cycle. They were predictable and terrible. During pregnancy and
lactation I did not have a headache (I was either pregnant or nursing for
eleven wonderful, headache-free years).

I thought that menopause would cure the problem, but like 20% of migraine
sufferers when menopause hit I had a headache for a year and a half. I

3. NO MORE HEADACHES

Passing on a testimonial through Val Setterholm

It was in the Meijers produce department that Kenny popped the question,
What do you recommend for headaches? He asked, as he glanced at his
wife, Phyllis. I remembered the results in the past when people would
take 4 B Complex, 4 Calcium Magnesium, and 4 Lecithin for their
headaches and the headache would be gone within 10-20 minutes. So of
course, that was my suggestion along with -- Ïif it isn't gone in that
length of time, repeat the amounts.

It wasn't until quite a while later that I learned the end result of
this encounter. Phyllis McNew woke up on September 22, 1998 with a
horrible migraine headache from which she vomited repeatedly. Prior to
this migraine experience, Phyllis used to wake up many days with a
headache that would eventually wear off after a couple of hours.

She went to the doctor that day, thinking he might want to do some tests
to see what brought this on. He simply called in a couple of
prescriptions and said to call back later if she wasn't better. The

Not liking that idea, Phyllis sought another opinion, thinking it might
be sinus. The second doctor did x-rays but her sinuses were clear. His
recommendation was prescription strength Motrin -- 600mg 3X daily. Just
like the previous medicine, the headache was still there when it wore
off.

On Nov. 13th we were having a dinner at our Shaklee Express --- Jim
and I were in the kitchen dishing up lasagna and rolls, people in the
